David Jones – Blaze Birge

 The Daring Jones Duo consists  David Jones and Blaze Birge. Both trained separately with the Dumitrascus, a 5th generation Romanian circus family in the U.K. After their initial training, the duo returned to Northern California. Rigging trapezes in majestic redwood trees on the remote Mendocino Coast, they refined their skills. The Daring Jones Duo first combined formed a dynamic double trapeze act in 2004. The isolation of their environment contributed to the originality of their choreography and lended a quality best described as “heart in throat”. Combining speed, grace, and power they  inspired audiences through disciplined artistic and athletic risk.  Their originality of style continues to garner respect and influence new works.

The Daring Jones Duo has been featured in both traditional and non-traditional circus all over the world, often preferring exotic location and adventure to name profile.
Daring Jones Duo retired their signature trapeze act in 2024 but continues to perform with comedy, knife throwing, sharp shooting and original variety acts. Their main focus is creating and directing their touring show, Flynn Creek Circus.
David and Blaze are passionate about pushing the traditions of circus forward. They are often asked to serve as jurors in circus competitions and are contributing members to the American Circus Alliance.
Currently, they are working on multiple nonprofit projects to support performing arts in the U.S.
