Apprenticeship Program

Flynn Creek Circus, in cooperation with Circus Mentors Inc, offers a competitive an apprenticeship award. The purpose of the award program is to establish mentorship relationships between new artists and seasoned professionals that will guide informed career decisions.  This fully immersive opportunity exposes emerging artists to the full scope of life on the road. Along with the regular cast, apprentices stay on site and travel with the circus under an independent contractor status, participating in build up of the circus tent, marketing, ushering, learning about safety and procedure, coupling trailers, and performing regularly in the show.
All disciplines are considered including marketing, lighting, stage, sound and performing apprenticeships. Each season there are between 2-5 apprentice awards granted. Successful candidates will receive a small, weekly living stipend and be provided housing throughout the tour as well as access to training space and workshops
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Maintain liability insurance
Be able to lift 50 pounds
Legal working status for the US
Availability for the entire contract period (variable by season)
